German team signs former Grizzlies guard Jacobsen

BERLIN -- German champion Alba Berlin has signed free-agent guard Casey Jacobsen, who played for the Memphis Grizzlies last season.

"Jacobsen has qualities that are going to be a big help to our ambitious plans," Berlin coach Luka Pavicevic said Wednesday.

Jacobsen, who averaged two points per game last season, also played for Bamberg in the German league two seasons ago when the club won the championship.

Whatever will America do without All-Star and MVP caliber player Casey Jacobsen?

True Dat.  I followed Casey when he played @ Stanford.  I thought it was pretty stupid that he left school early, since I really didn't see him as an NBA caliber player; but the German league might be a good place for him.  Another tall burly blonde with no post skills heads to Germany.  Good riddance!
